Nellie--that was lovely--very soothing. I just got here, so I am using it to end my day. Generous spirit--those words are so true of you.

My visitors are still here. One looks like they are coming down with the flu, (could be just a fierce hangover though) and I don't know if they will leave tomorrow as planned. After they arrive in Port Angeles they have a 5 hour drive ahead of them so I am inclined to tell them to stay. On the other hand, if it something worse than flu they are best back on American soil. They will decide tomorrow.

Hope tomorrow is a beautiful day, full of peace for everyone. Myself, I am loving that "ignore" button.

Isn't this a bit of a contradiction since this is the "Christian" thread? Particularly the Philosophy part... ???

Who's debating? I merely asked about the apparent contradiction between the Title and the request to not discuss Philosophy.

I am reminded of the time in Matt.22 when religious philosophers attempted to entrap the Lord Jesus with a trick question.

The problem with your question,and it's subtle insinuation, sir_fluffy, is that your postulate is flawed. There is no contradiction.

To quote the response of the Lord Jesus: "Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God." (Matt.22:29)...

...or in today's vernacular: "You don't know what you're talking about!!" LOL

The OP remains as stated: Please leave all aggression, bitterness, and philosophy outside the door...

Because the scripture teaches that philosophy has NO place in Christianity!! (Col.2:8)

BTW, neither does "religion" but that's a discussion for another day. 😉
