RELEASE Huawei CEO Sabrina Meng

This is a vicious,  outrageous dirty trick campaign from the U.S.  about group of telecommunications companies.  As a big eBay's Online Customer I say:  << Canada stay out of this >>.  Large implications.

Re: RELEASE Huawei CEO Sabrina Meng

The charges again Ms. Meng, as far as I can tell are for actions that are not illegal in Canada, trading with Iran while US has commercial sanctions against that country.

Canada does not have such sanctions.

The USA dropped out of the treaty that traded dropping sanctions for an end to Iran's nuclear weapons programme.

She has been held, as a possible flight risk, in a Canadian jail and will in good time have the case for deportation to the USA heard by a Canadian judge using Canadian law.

Canada has extradition treaties with many countries. But we have refused extradition to countries , for example, where there is a death penalty or where the accused is unlikely to get a fair trial.

This is not about Ms. Meng. It is part of the Trump vs China dick-wagging.

She is a part of the chineese government elite and as such she should be jailed until China lets the two Canadians they jailed go free.

Why should they get away with BS charges to hold them - we have one of their pawns so we should use it accordingly.

Its about time Canada stops bending over and taking it over and over again.

Correction-- technically she is not charged with dealing with Iran, but with fraud in her dealings with Iran, which is a crime in Canada.

She is free on bail, unlike the three Canadians who are being held without access to ambassadorial or legal advice.
