Drastic jumps in views

The past couple of days I have noticed something odd. Both days there have been sudden jumps in views on one particular listing, both times by 20+ views. Maybe it's because I don't list much and that often, so I don't really see this sort of thing, but it just seems weird to me.

I am running auctions this time around, which maybe explains it. Do auctions tend to garner more views? Does that somehow explain a sudden jump in 20+ views? Perhaps someone is shopping around, going back and forth comparing listings?

I'm really just pondering out loud here (and believe me, I'm not complaining). Has anyone ever noticed something like this before?

yea views are helpful, but unless you get bids, they are worthless.. and as for jumps in views, who knows,,could be many different reasons..

Yes many times over the years, view counts are unreliable.
