Interesting oddity of the day, returned package from Argentina...

Got a bubble envelope back today from Argentina.

I didn't remember any recent lost in mail claims, I checked the letter and it was a sale from May.

Checked my lost information in emails and on the books, couldn't find anything, couldn't even find the original item.

Then I went and looked at the receipt again, it was from May 2018!!

Checked my 2018 lost stuff, no record then either.

My postmaster happened to be proficient enough in Spanish to see that it was unclaimed, so I assume something must have happened to recipient.

It looks like they held it awaiting "claiming" until October 24 this year, so they were certainly patient awaiting someone's picking it up...

At some point in its travels, it was opened and resealed by customs? (poorly as they damaged some of the stamps when they resealed it) and it was stabbed with something that went through the bubble envelope and also pierced my plastic bag and envelope the stamps were in.

It would be interesting to know the story!!!

Brings to mind the big band theory, were Leonard had to track down , the next of kin, for a dvd that couldn't be returned to the store..  very funny, but the item is owed to somebody..
