On pricing

One of my favourite programs-- Under The Influence-- talks about 99 cent pricing and how to get more for your products and make your customers happy to pay it.

I think $9.99 'reads' better than $10.

Would $11.25 'read' like a sale price?

Remember in this strategy the actual price is not important.

The dresses that sold better at $39.99 than $34.99 being the case in point.

And of course, having a higher price to compare with.

Way back when, a neighbouring shop covered his windows with kraft paper emblazoned EVERYTHING FOR SALE!!

And had booming sales without changing his prices.

Read it again.
