Physical Handling of Expedited Lite Items

Does anyone know how expedited lite items are physically handled in the pipeline? If I use an expedited lite label on an item in a bubble mailer (it's small enough to go oversized lettermail if I choose), is it going to be tossed in with other boxes or is it going to be sorted with other lettermail items?

Due to the small/light size it should be segregated and processed separately from large and bulky packages. This doesn't mean you should cheap out on protecting the item, but there is little risk of damage from big heavy parcels falling on it (if that's what you were concerned about).

My guess is that becauce it's Expedited which is a surface service it will go in the same stream as any other Expedited packages.

It probably won't be in the the First Class stream because that is an Air service, same goes for Xpresspost.
