Most of the USPS/CPO situations seem to have been individual workers having mental breakdowns and hiding the mail rather than rifling it.

North American postal workers (and couriers) are well enough paid  that stealing from the mail is not economically sensible. Why jeopardize a $75,000 job with excellent benefits and a solid pension for a few used iPhones?

In other countries, where staff are underpaid, theft could be a perk.

And it does sound as if the management were either in on the scheme or totally oblivious.

This is why it is important that apparent cases of 'porch theft' or undelivered mail should be reported to the PO. It helps the honest/sane staff to track down the problem employees.

When I link to something in a language other than English, my computer will automatically ask if if I want the page translated.

It should be noted that this translation is not perfect  and should only be viewed as something that is presented in a broad based understanding of the information in the  original language, which is Russian in this situation.

The Russian language has the same alphabet as the Ukrainian language, which I understand  to some degree.  However,  the two languages, Russian versus Ukrainian  are different enough   with respect to definition,  that I would rather have a translation on-line  and not my personal translation.

When it comes to Russian  I use a dictionary... and that is when I asked for a translation on-line..

I was once caught in a situation where I assumed a book was published in Ukrainian, because the book was about a Ukrainian poet.

A Ukrainian dictionary,  created a mess..... and then the Russian dictionary gave me a "correct" definition.  I have many dictionaries in several foreign languages, mainly languages that use the English alphabet... I also understand the Cyrillic alphabet

When it is an on-line translation, one must always be careful.... mainly because  a computer does not present the subtleties of a language... specifically proper sentence format
