The swag was for people who attended (virtually) an eBay Live event a few months ago.

I signed up for the eBay Live event here in Toronto that was planned for Spring-2020, due to Covid it changed to a virtual event. Even though I got back my $20 registration fee I still got a package of swag that would have been handed out to attendees at the event.

I've received swag in the past as well for participating in one on one meetings with eBay staff and once even for just being helpful on the boards.

Some of the people who received shipping replies received notes about the wonders of eBay International Shipping so they are probably trying to encourage more people to use it.
