i sold a very rare  Sony short wave radio. O.N.S 15 +years old ,never used in its original box.buyer claimed that the radio arrived damaged , buyer filed a complaint with UPS which denied the claim. returned the radio to me and it was damaged beyond recognition.  broken and missing parts, name plat + serial # missing ( removed with sharp object) .missing original power supply . original documentation missing and "other" literature replaced.  2 extra power supplies ( non related)were in the returns box.

the claim was reviewed by eBay and accepted.

what could i do to prove the fraudulent claim and be compensated for the value of the radio , not reparable

please call me 24/7

there must be something i can do

a - Why was the damage claim denied?

b - Why did the buyer file the claim and not you the shipper?

c - eBay doesn't "review" claims beyond confirming the return was actually returned.

d - What evidence do you have the claim was fraudulent?

What you describe sounds like mail or internet fraud.

Are you familiar with what used to be called "Phonebusters"?

a - Why was the damage claim denied?
no explanation

b - Why did the buyer file the claim and not you the shipper?
i did not see the radio until 6 weeks later

c - eBay doesn't "review" claims beyond confirming the return was actually returned.
returned past the due date

d - What evidence do you have the claim was fraudulent?
the level of damage is beyond accidental. i have pictures of what was sent.no way the name plate could have been "simple" accident removal
