Buyer Return

I cancelled my seller subscription and removed the link from my paypal to eBay. After I did this, I got a return request. I was out of town for several days and the buyer opened a case on me. How does ebay refund the buyer if I don't have a paypal link?

Re: Buyer Return

PayPal refunds the buyer from the funds the buyer had sent to you.

They then reverse the charge to your PayPal account accordingly.

If you have no funds at the time in your PayPal account, PayPal will either take the money from your bank account or your credit card.

The link between eBay and PayPal is not relevant in this case and all is done by and through PayPal.

Re: Buyer Return

As I understand it, when you cancel your eBay membership, it takes a few months to completely end, because of situations exactly like this, where there are outstanding financial transactions.

And Paypal offers 180 day Buyer Protection.

If you no longer plan to sell, the defect from not responding to the Dispute will not be of any importance.

Even if you were still selling, it would wear off in 12 months.
