Ebay listing fees and commission charges?

I'm a new seller. Do I need to pay $2 for each item I list? Aren't 50 listings/mnth free? Why do I see a $20 fee for the 10 listings I currently have up? I understand there are commission charges after an item is sold, but do I really need to pay "listing" fees

Hi melissae .. because you chose to add a reserve to your listings rather than the minimum starting price that you are prepared to sell for. Reserve is an add on and a minimum fee of $2.

Can't be recovered but reconsider on relist plus buyers dislike reserve listings. A waste of money for your items..
