I'm being invoiced for an item I never sold - HELP

Hi,

I'm being invoiced $203.79 for an unknown transaction/reason (Account ID: E1041132665002-CAD). Please cancel the invoice.

Can someone help me?

Best regards,

PeterGunn63

Sold? Or bought?

If this is a problem with your account being hacked, you need to contact both the seller and ask for a Cancel Order transaction, and call Ebay Customer Service. You will find them under Help & Contact at the very top and very bottom of the page.

You have come to the Discussion Board. We are members who are happy to offer advice based on our own experiences but we cannot speak for ebay as a corporate entity.

If the invoice is coming from Paypal, it is probably a scam, I have had several of those. You can always call Paypal or forward it to scam@paypal.com.

I just looked at https://www.paypal.com/selfhelp/article/FAQ3022 and it's actually

spoof@paypal.com

But thank you for reminding us of that trick, triber. I got one from the Apple Store recently that looked almost legit enough for me to click stuff I shouldn't.

I had a domain name for sale, did not sell it (domain name expired). Then I got invoiced as a seller.

The only way you could incur those fees is if your item sold, you bought into a stores subscription, or added a whole pile of bonus features to your listing. Or you're being phished.

"I'm being invoiced $203.79 "

Please advise what exactly do you mean by "invoiced"

By whom, specifically?  How?

Invoiced by ebay. My selling privileges has also been suspended until payment.

Now is the time to call eBay.  Phone number available on top of this page under the link "Help & Contact"

Good Luck

In the meantime, go to your seller account and get information on the listing for which you are being charged (date, value, buyer, etc...)

Is it possible that you had a store with a yearly contract and cancelled the store subscription? If that is the case, you are charged a penalty fee.

You have tried to list something, or, you received an email?

Are all emails from eBay in your eBay email account?

Mr. Elmwood makes a good point. if the email is a phishing scam, it will include details that sound so urgent and terrible that any honest person would sit up and take notice. I got one once that said 'the IRS was coming to get me' for nameless infractions. Unless, of course, I clicked their link and got into email contact with them immediately.

Don't click on any links.

Call ebay Customer Service about Accounts and see what they tell you.

What MJ says, this is all sounding spoofy to me.

To sell, ya gotta have a CC on file. Don't send payment, it flips to the CC. There is no invoice to pay.
