Is it best to ship with tracking number in case buyer says didn't receive but it's much more expensive to ship to Europe

Shipping from Canada with tracking number to U.S. not so bad but to Europe a lot more than no tracking but then you never know if they say they didn't receive and did.

You don't need full tracking, just delivery confirmation. For expensive items, definitely use delivery confirmation. For less expensive items,it's your call. You can send with a service that includes insurance and if the item never arrives, you can refund the buyer and open a postal insurance claim to recover your cost.

Yes, 'northernboy', it is costly to ship Delivery Confirmed, but whether or not it is TOO expensive is up to you.  How much are you willing to risk?

You are right, - a lot of false 'not received' claims, so you will have to make a decision.  On higher priced items it is probably a good idea, and sometimes a buyer's outgoing feedback can give you a clue.

And just so you know, items over $250 US are required to be sent Delivery Confirmed with signature.  That is so you keep your seller protection.

Oh, and you were aware of the 21-day hold on payments to new and infrequent sellers, yes?
