Links being slipped into listings, how to fix?

Hi, I just found a listing of mine that had links to a Casino website built into my text. Item #5734685589.
I was just wondering if any one else has experienced this, or maybe it is just a problem with my computer.

I use turbo lister and when I opened a template to list last night, the links were also there.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I obviously do not want someone linking there sites into my auction listings.

Thanks in advance!

I am no HTML expert by any means, and there be a perfectly reasonable explanation. But I think if it was me, I would change my ebay password right away. Just in case someone is revising my listings.

Thanks, I will update all of my passwords.
I'm wondering if there is a problem with my computer, as I was just looking at another person's listing and one of the words in their listing was highlighted blue, just as in mine, and when I clicked on it I was directed to expedia.com. Maybe you're right and it's nothing more than crafty advertising.

Thanks,
Lisa

Lisa: Do you run any anti-spyware programs like Ad-Aware? This sounds suspiciously like some program has installed itself onto your computer and as you are surfing is highlighting keywords purchased by sponsors. It would be a good idea to scan your computer with the free version of Ad-Aware:

The good news is that it's likely only you who is experiencing this phenomenon and it's not a problem with the listings you were looking at.

Cheers,
Ernie.

Nice item, BTW. Really takes me back to my teenage years, BC (Before CDs).

Hello Ernie,

I just finished installing the adware software, I had several hundred objects that needed to be removed. I'm glad to hear it's likely only my computer seeing these links and not prospective customers.

Thank you for your help!

I'm pretty fond of that item as well, I'm sure my little sister has never even seen a record!

Thanks again,
Lisa

You're welcome, Lisa. You should run Ad-Aware every week or so if you're using Internet Explorer, and make sure to download any new definitions it may find. Be wary of "free" utilities on the internet (besides Ad-Aware, that is). Many of them are free because they include spyware that does things like this and worse. File sharing apps like Kazaa, Bearshare and Morpheus can also include these unwanted apps as well. Your problem is common in a home with a shared computer.

Cheers,
Ernie.
