Except it is not NOW! I tried a sample listing and I was charged. The sale only starts tomorrow
Jan 22.
I nominate eBay for a defect!

Yes the email is in error. Fortunately I always try listing a sample before I do a big upload.

Once again this promo is by invitation only:
http://pages.ebay.com/promo/2015/0122/JanSavings.html
Read very carefully. Then read again.
Interesting twist: "will pay no insertion fee per newly listed item (relisted items not included)"

Yes, I tested "sell similar" this morning from multiple quantity fixed price listings to auction.
It worked fine when using an individual listing and also when using the "bulk" listing tool supplied by eBay for multiple listings.
I have yet to test it on unsold items.

Yes, Sell Similar works.
Some are also receiving 30 Day Durations included in their Promos.
I received the 5, 7, 10 Day Duration in my invite.
Anyone else receive the 30 days ?
01-22-2015 10:05 AM
Mine reads "5, 7, 10, and 30-day listing durations are included in this Promotion."
Obviously 30 days applies to fixed price listings only as auctions are limited to 10 days

Great Pierre, you should do well.
Didn't receive the 30 Day this time, but received it last month.
Oh well.

I used "sell similar" today and then I had to return to the UNSOLD ITEMS list to remove these that I have selected for "sell similar".
This is a pain.. and takes time. But if we do not delete them, we may face further problem if doing re-listing.
I wish the system would make some kind of marks on these that were selected for "sell similar".
The promotion does not take 30 days for me

I think there is a method to their madness.
Much, too much mainstream carp was being relisted in bulk, Sell Similar takes a little more time.
There were thousands, upon thousands of Auction Items ending daily in my category with the majority going unsold.
Maybe this will help in regards to sales.

Try a test listing. I didn't receive the one that included the 30 day duration but when I just listed I was not charged and the count on the promotion went down.
The wording doesn't include 30 day duration but it doesn't exclude it either.

"The wording doesn't include 30 day duration but it doesn't exclude it either."
That was confusing to me since the promotion on eBay.ca and eBay.com should have similar terms for everyone.
I found the problem.
As usual, eBay-Canada did screw up. Here is the link from eBay.ca:
http://pages.ebay.ca/promo/2015/0122/JanSavings.html
"5, 7, and 10-day listing durations are included in this Promotion."
Obviously someone in Canada screwed up again!

Hi everyone,
Just to confirm: the 30 days duration is included in this promo. There was internal miscommunication as the decision was made to extend coverage to 30 days duration which resulted in the CA version of the promo terms not getting updated before the promo went live. The CA page should be corrected momentarily.
Thanks,
Raphael

Thank you Raphael for the update.

For the record:
It is pretty clear that the screw up originated in San Jose, not in Toronto.
Let's properly blame the folks at eBay.com for this one, not the guys and gals at eBay.ca

Does this mean everyone that received the invite will have the additional 30 day FP Promo ?
01-22-2015 01:43 PM
Dear Raphael,
Thank you for correcting the error regarding today's promotion.
Prior to the correction I have listed 32 items at fixed price for 10 days and have tried now to amend them to 30 days duration in bulk.
The system did not let me to change the duration.
Can you recommend other way for correction of these 32 listings?
Thank you again.

Yes.
