Opening a second account

I've read many sellers here say they have a second Ebay account. They use one for buying and the other for selling. It sounds more than sensible to me and yesterday I tried to open a second account for buying only.

I was signed out of my current account but after going through the sign up steps, I ke[t getting a message that said something to the effect "You already have an account. You don't need to sign up for another one>'

What am I doing wrong? Can someone enlighten me about how to obtain a second account. I can feel the giant L burning on my forehead as I type.

If I remember correctly, the issue is that you have to use different e-mail addresses for each account or it hurts eBay's wittle head.

I use Firefox as my web browser for this account, and Internet Explorer for my other account. Helps me to make sure I'm signed into the right one, etc.

I think you will have to enter another credit card number too.
