Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed for service to Canada

Hey guys, I am back:)

I was wondering, I am planning on ordering an item from the UK and the service that is going to be used is Royal Mail Tracked and Signed for.

I've never used this service before and I was wondering, how fast is the service speed? I was told between 5-7 business days.

And once it enters Canada, does Canada post assign it to Registered Mail or Xpresspost? Thanks:)

All delivery services are more optimistic than they should be about delivery times. This is not the fault of the seller, although it is his responsibility.

So if you need it within 10 days, buy it locally.

Practically nothing is delivered by Registered Main nowadays.

Registered Mail is slower than the newer 'barcoded' services. And yes, Registered is barcoded. It's still slower.

It will take the same time as non signed for UK airmail, and will travel as regular mail within Canada. The service is in  effect just an extra sticker on regular airmail and has no speed or security implications.

Sensible UK sellers realise it is a waste of money and skip it. Others will use it on even the cheapest items.
