The seller was notified he would be paid by postal money order, which was sent to him last week.

This selller agreed to be paid by postal money order; the cheque was sent and he was notified. The claim that he had not been paid was fraudulent; we suspect he wishes now to selll the item for more to a different purchaser.

The correspondence the selller generated clears demonstrates that the selller agreed to accept a Postal Money order.

This is a clear-cut case of "fraud" on the selller's part.

And whether your suspicions are correct or not, this is why eBay does not allow sellers to ask for money orders as payment.

Since you decided that you did not want to use an electronically viewable method of payment, you are responsible for the problem, not eBay.

I hope this was a cheap lesson and not a couple of hundred dollars.

BTW, Paypal is not the only electronically viewable method of payment. Some larger sellers have their own merchant accounts with Visa or MasterCard. Some use other payment services. Paypal is just the 800 pound gorilla.

You have 60 days to leave feedback. The most effective feedback is calm and factual. No exclamation marks, no name-calling, no CAPS!!

Remember that your mailed money order could take up to 30 days to arrive, longer to Asia. And it may also take time to clear, up to 10 days for a foreign instrument deposited in a bank. (A postal money order is only immediately cashable at the Post Office.)

It is easier to follow the situation if you keep all posts in the same thread.

You say you sent the money order last week.

It is possible that the seller has not received it yet.

A seller with over 1800 transactions and 100% posotive feedback is not going to cheat some one out of $24.95

Most likely they have not received the money order yet and have their unpaid item assistant set to automaticaly open disputes after a certain number of days.
