safe to buy digital goods on ebay?

I have been considering buying some digital goods (video game time), but noticed that there is no buyer protection for these transactions? Should it be avoided?

I would be very careful. No buyer protection means exactly that, so if you get hosed, you have no recourse.

Just be careful go through sellers feedback thats all .. I have always bought my microsoft points on ebay .. mind you I haven't bought anything digital for years now I used o all the time and never once had an issue just do your homework on the seller ..
