Canada Post delays?

I ordered an item from the U.S. on June 8, 2020. It was shipped the next day, and made it's way through the USPS system to Erlanger, KY, where it sat for almost a week (some of those days fell over a weekend). A shipping label was created for Canada post on June 18, and it's been sitting like that since.

I understand the delays, and there are backlogs, but I'm really hoping to get this item before I leave on holidays. Estimated delivery is this week (June 22-26), so there is still time.

I'm just curious - in everyone's experience, is it likely moving and just not being updated? Or am I SOL and probably going to have to retrieve this item when I return?

Thanks in advance!

There are delays and backlogs all through the system, from USPS, Pitney-Bowes in Erlanger, and Canada Post. I’ve had a package sitting in Erlanger for almost a week in customs and documentation labelling. Nothing we buyers can do but wait and let it clear through the system. If it gets near the 30 day date after last stated day of delivery, put in a claim for item not received, and mark it a GSP claim, and requiring a GSP specialist. Once it reaches Erlanger, it is Pitney-Bowes responsibility, the seller is off the hook.

Re: Canada Post delays?

I have been ordering many items from the UK and other areas throughout this Covid issue. My experience has been to expect an average of 2 - 3 week delay. From the US it may be a bit shorter but there will definitely be a delay.  If you are lucky sometimes things slip through very quickly, but that is rare right now.
