Delivered to the wrong address

PBI delivered to the wrong address and is now doing victory laps via email claiming a successful delivery, there seems to be no way of contacting them to correct this mistake.

Delivered to the wrong address

PBI?  Do you mean Pitney Bowes which runs the Global Shipping Program for eBay?

The GSP is a Seller Protection Program.

Once your purchase is delivered to the GSP plant in Kentucky, the seller is no longer responsible for delivery.

GSP pays the import fees brings the shipment to the border and then hands the shipment over to a sub-contractor for last mile delivery.

Usually this is Canada Post or CanPar. Sometimes it is FedEx or (shudder) Apple or Intelcom.

Who was the last mile sub-contractor.? That information should be on your tracking info.

Call the local office, if any, of the sub.

Do you have the address it was delivered to? Have you gone there to retrieve your purchase?

Most people are honest, but also confused when they get something they did not order and with a stranger's name on it.

You should also be opening an eBay Dispute. These are robotic and can be opened at the bottom of this page and many others.

Do NOT talk to Customer Help. They have never heard of Canada or the GSP (very slight exaggeration).

In the Dispute, state that this is a GSP transaction.

GSP is pretty good about refunds.

If one is offered, settle. To try for a replacement (or the original) is just opening a world of frustration.

If this doesn't work, we'll try Plan B.

Delivered to the wrong address

Is this a case of a wrong address label going onto the item and the item ended up going somewhere completely different, or a case of the contracted delivery agent safe-dropping it at the wrong address?
