Had to pay shipping to have an order I purchased "returned" to me, seller ignoring refund requests

I'll try to keep this short. I ordered from a new seller who incorrectly labeled the package and ended up mailing it back to himself. He then dropped off the package and, according to him, made it clear that I was the intended recipient of the package. However, Canada Post treated it as a "return", and so I had to go to my local postal outlet and pay shipping again to actually receive what I ordered. I've twice asked for a refund. To the first I received a response that he would sort it out with Canada Post. The second has gone unanswered for two days.
