The item i bought stopped updating after custom cleared(last Friday). eBay provides me a Canada post's tracking number, but Canada post said they have not received the package.

PACKAGE stuck at border?

After clearing customs, the package will be handed over to the Canadian carrier to continue its journey. If the item is to be transported via Canada Post, the indication from the tracking information, is that Canada Post does not yet have the package. Patience is key for cross-border shipments.

PACKAGE stuck at border?

My purchases are mainly out of country. My experience is that it can take 2 - 3 weeks before you will receive your package. Out of country tracking does not show once it reaches Canada. Tracking is not for the buyer. Tracking just shows the seller that it has reached Canada. If they have requested a signature upon reception that lets the seller know that you have received your package.

The Erlanger plant seems to work 24./7 since the parcel was delivered there by USPS at 6:25am Sunday, the 26th, although processing was slow over the weekend.

Your purchase cleared customs on Friday January 31. Today is Wednesday Feb 5.

You have a Canada Post tracking number?

No?

Because what you should have is a UPAxxxxxxxxx number that can be tracked on the Pitney Bowes website. While GSP/PB usually uses Canada Post they also have been reported to use CanPar, FedEx, and a very bad service called Apple which apparently has lost their contract.

@unison007  worked this out for buyers who have not yet received their GSP shipment.
TRACKING SYSTEM FOR GSP
I found this thread today while awaiting a shipment. Once I learned that Pitney Bowes was the relevant company, I was able to find my package's tracking info in about 10 seconds.

Step 1: Go to the Pitney Bowes Parcel Tracker page at https://parceltracking.pb.com/app/#/dashboard/

Step 2: Enter your eBay-supplied Global Tracking number (mine began with UPAA...)

Step 3: You will be shown limited tracking info. In my case, only up to the point the package left the USA and entered Canada.

Step 4: Click on the "Track on carrier's website" link at the top right.

Step 5: You will be provided with tracking on the page of the actual shipping company, in my case Canada Post, with a tracking number in THEIR system.

Problem solved! If only eBay would put a link to https://parceltracking.pb.com/app/#/dashboard/ in their shipping emails, this could all be avoided...

It is also worth mentioning that tracking shows where a parcel has been, not where it is.

And that with 35 odd years in mail order, I don't get worried about a package mailed within North America for 20 days from payment.

If the window that eBay gave you has closed, you can open an Item Not Received dispute in the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page.

State in the Dispute that shipping was via GSP, and it will be handled by a GSP specialist.
