Package stuck between Global Shipping Center and Canada Customs

I ordered a package on June 1, it was shipped the next day. It arrived in Kentucky at the GSP on June 8. On June 11 it's showing that it has shipped from the GSP. On June 12, it says "customs cleared."

Nothing since then.

The last day for delivery is today, but it is not in at my post office (where I rent a PO box).

What's going on with this package? Did it make it to Canada yet or not? How would I go about filing a claim on a GSP package (the seller only has to get it to Kentucky, then it's the GSP's responsibility).

Thanks in advance.

postal service is brutally slow right now,  if you really want the item, just hang on it will get to you,

If you just want a refund, open a case for item not received, once you are able to.. I would recommend you wait at least 7 days past the expected delivery date, before you file, just to let the mail catch up..

Once the seller ships it, it is all the gsp system..

just my 2 cents..

I do really want the item, and I can wait a week or two to see what happens. I also don't want to tick off the seller. They are the only local supplier. My previous suppliers were in China and all my mail from China fell into a black hole.

all my mail from China fell into a black hole.

There have been times when a lot of Chinese product was vapourware.

And at the moment, it is reported that eBay China is telling sellers there not to sell to Canada.

It makes buying in North America worth potentially higher costs.

Nothing more expensive that something that never arrives.

It would be polite to let your US seller know what is happening, but if you do have to go to the Resolution Centre (at the bottom of this page) be sure to state that the product was shipped with the GSP. It should then be transferred to a GSP specialist.

I'm reading lots of posts in this forum about Canada Post and GSP delays. I think I'm inclined to wait a while longer before contacting the seller.

I certainly won't open a claim without at least contacting the seller first.

I have been waiting for items from the UK - one six weeks and another 8 weeks. Canada Post showed one as arriving June 9 and the other as not having arrived in Canada yet. Until today I heard nothing different. Then today I checked Canada Post and they have been cleared and are in transit, expected to arrive within 3 - 7 business days. So your parcel(s) could be here but processing has not caught up to them yet ??

Check your item on one (or both) of the Pitney Bowes tracking sites using the "UPAA" tracking number you should have been given:

https://parceltracking.pb.com

https://tracking.pb.com

If your item has been released to Canada Post or whoever the Canadian carrier is, there should be an option to "track item on carrier's website" below the item's "progress meter".  Click on that and you might be able to get a smidge more information than what eBay is able to provide.

On my package it just says a label has been created with Canada Post. It doesn't appear to be released to the carrier yet (or that scan hasn't happened yet.)

What location is listed for the label? Usually when a label is created, they give a location, such as RICHMOND, MONTREAL, etc. If that location is a fair distance from Eastern Canada, your parcel likely will have no updates until the day before it will be delivered when suddenly the tracking will say "Shipment received at originating postal facility".

The GSP program right now seems to be haphazard, meaning you may or may not get your purchase. I ordered two items from the USA. One item was a legal sporting knife, unavailable in Canada, so I had to use the USA. Second item was pants, with the same results. Both orders were unfulfilled by Pitney Bowes. Very frustrating to say the least. Usually I try to avoid those using the GSP on the grounds I believe it to be mismanaged, and concerned more with profit than customer service. The only winner in the GSP fiasco is Pitney Bowes.

Hey everyone here , did your order finally got in the hand of Canada Post and then to you ?

I got a Cleared Customs ( no location) since 7 day  on ebay + Electronic information submitted by shipper on Canada Post since 10 days ( no location).

Not in rush , will wait but just want to make sure , as some of you said, not the fault of the seller , he ship the next day of payment but GSP is really the worst system...

I'm sure USPS directly to Canada would have been a better deal as my package did San Francisco to Erlanger, US in 2 days before getting stuck there...

Anyway just let me know if you finally got you package.

ometimes I wish tracking could not be seen by the buyer.

It's a case of Too Much Information.

Don't look at tracking, which ,like the entire Global Shipping Program, is a Seller Protection .

If the purchase is disputed as Item Not Received, tracking allows the seller to show that it was received and end the Dispute.

Look instead at the window for delivery that eBay gave you.

Is the last estimated date for delivery past?

Then go to the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page and open that Item Not Recieved Dispute.

If the GSP is involved, say so in the dispute and ask for a GSP Specialist.

If the GSP cannot prove delivery (and it's delivery, not shipping) you will be refunded.

Even if tracking shows it is on its way via Kentucky, Timbuktu, Iqaluit and points east.
