Received ebay item not meant for me

Hi all.

Got an item I did not order from Pitney Bowes which is always the path taken

by a US purchase going to Canada.

There is an LPKEN sticker in the back.

Any suggestions?

Were you expecting a shipment?

Sounds as if at the GSP plant the wrong label was put on your parcel. Which means someone else got yours and you got-- well, possibly his and possibly yet another buyer's purchase.

Oy.

First, let your seller know what has happened. It's probably only a courtesy, but....

Then open an Item Not As Described dispute in the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page.

Note that this is a GSP shipment in the Dispute. That should send your case to a GSP specialist.

Generally what happens is that you are refunded, there is no fallout for the seller, and you are told to dispose of the unwanted item as you wish.

However, what won't happen is getting your actual purchase.

Ghu only knows where that is.

That is the thing, I am not expecting anything from the US at this time...

So I have no item to raise an issue with...

Hmmm...

Er, is it possible that someone sent you a gift? Can you ask around to friends and family to see who might have done so?

Like the others who've answered before me, I'd have thought it was merely a misapplied label and that your order is now unfortunately bound for Joe Blow in Winnipeg (whose item you now hold in your hands) but, if you haven't ordered anything through Global Shipping Program and Pitney Bowes at all, well, then.....

Someone on the boards, another user, has the email contact information for Pitney Bowes. You might need to get in touch with someone there. But rule out gift first.
