Sellers misrepresenting shipping methods.

Why do so many sellers misrepresent shipping methods ?

I received two eBay purchases this week one on Monday and one a few minutes ago that were not shipped via the shipping service stated in the listings.

In both cases the listings specified Canada Post as the shipper however one was delivered by "Amazon" apparently the seller used "Amazon" as a drop shipper and the other was delivered by Fed Ex.

As I was at home on both occasions it was not a problem but if I hadn't been home I would have needed to take a round trip Taxi ride that would cost about $40 to pick up the item shipped by Fed Ex and I don't have a clue what happens to parcels Amazon tries to deliver when no one is at home.

If Canada Post is unable to deliver my pick up location is almost across the street which is why I specifically try to purchase from sellers that use Canada Post   Cat Mad
