While feedback is much more important for sellers than for buyers, it is not mandatory. Nor does it count on the seller's account anymore.
You can leave a Response to any feedback the seller left for you, indefinitely.
This does not change his FB percentage, but does stand out on a page.
There is actually a possible benefit to the seller that you were unable to leave feedback.
Along with FB buyers are asked to rate their sellers.
Most of those Detailed Seller Ratings have no effect on the seller's account.
BUT
EBay also asks if the item was delivered within the estimated delivery time.
If you had been asked that question, you may have (honestly) answered no.
And THAT would have had a greater negative impact on your seller, with whom you are pleased, than even negative feedback and one star DSRs.
Once passed to the shipping company (Canada Post, UPS, etc) the seller has no control over delivery time, but if the delivery is delayed, eBay will give the seller a defect.
Leave a Response.
