Canadian seller: CRA taxes

Hello, I'm a new seller and just sold some small things. I made around $4.50.

Now, I'm a complete taxnoob so I would like to know if I need to report my income from eBay to CRA at all? I just sold some things I had lying around at home.

Thanks.

Re: Canadian seller: CRA taxes

Selling some of your personal collection and probably at a loss, no need to report anything to CRA.

FYI - eBay Canada does not routinely report seller activity to the CRA

If you buy stuff with the intent to resell at a profit that is when you become a business.

Re: Canadian seller: CRA taxes

If you sell your personal collection and make a profit-- which is difficult because we normally buy for our collection (or wardrobe or repair needs) at retail, while we are selling, if not at wholesale, at a lower price than we paid, way back when.
