There must be a typo in the section on managed payments , third bullet point after the intro:

" provide bank account information for a U.S.-based checking account so that the payments entity can link such checking account to your eBay account..."

Assuming this should be Canadian based checking account??? Do we all need US accounts now to sell on eBay??
tyler@ebay.com should look into this!!

They should consider including a boilerplate clause that disclaims all content that was not-localized for Canada yet still included in the document.

You'll only need a US bank account if you plan on selling on .com in USD. Ebay has yet to quite figure out how to implement that with managed payments or rather it is pretty low on the list of priorities given they can only sign so many users up over a given period of time due to the non-compete clause.

Things to note....

(1) Any reference to Paypal will change with Managed Payments.

(2) GTC listings do not renew every 30 days.....

A GTC listing renews on the same date each month, with adjustments made for months with 31 days... and for February  with 28 or 29 days.

(3) Managed Payments for Canadian sellers should refer to a Canadian dollar bank account.

With the arrival of Managed Payments in July 2020,  there will be another  major adjustment in the User Agreement.....   but not for everyone... for only the sellers that use Managed Payments.

Received an email from eBay  with a link to the new...... User Agreement.... for Canadian sellers on eBay Canada

Managed Payments for Canadian sellers  refers to a Canadian dollar bank account.

NOT  ...... a  US dollar bank account......

@cumos55

The original agreement stated "connected to a US bank account". Since then it appears to have been updated.

They have chosen to clearly leave out any information on if one can sell on .com and keep the funds in USD. Last I heard they were "looking into a solution". Anyone else heard of them remedying this or are they just planning on making money off the currency exchange?

Many Canadian sellers will sell in US dollars on eBay.com.

For Managed Payments .......eBay has NOT provided any indication that these sellers can use a US dollar bank account  in the US  (or even Canada) to receive their money.

The only option ... so far... is to have Managed Payments  convert the US dollars to Canadian dollars and  have the money paid out to a Canadian dollar account in Canada.
