Why does a  'technical error' prompt come up when I attempt to invoice a buyer?

Did you list your item on eBay.ca or eBay.com? You must send the invoice on the website it was listed.

I list on .ca and frequently get an "error"  message when I send an invoice to a US customer.  Yet the invoice always goes through and I get my copy of the invoice.
