Global Shipping Program

Has anyone else had any issues with using the GSP? I’ve ordered two items and the sellers both used GSP, the item allegedly arrived in Canada but then was “undeliverable”. eBay can’t seem to get me an answer, and they won’t stop using their GSP. It seems if this happens more than once, investigate you’re shipping agent. Has this type of thing happened to anyone else?

GSP uses several companies for last mile delivery. The most reliable and most used in Canada Post.

What company is showing on the delivery slip?

The two worst are Apple and Intelcom. Do those ring any bells?

Any idea what is making the address "undeliverable"?

And of course, if your item is not delivered within eBay's deadline, you can open a Dispute in the Resolution Centre and get a refund.

Don't mention the "undeliverable" part but DO ask for a GSP specialist.

Are you using a Canada Post post office box for your address?

Good point about the PO box.

Many couriers will not deliver to PO boxes, because the staff will not sign the delivery slip. (Nor should they, in my opinion).

Canada Post does have a Flex Delivery option which is free, and which might be usable with those couriers. It is certainly a better service (and free!) than losing the shipment to porch pirates or lazy carriers.

Have you opened an Item Not Received Dispute in the Resolution Centre? Did you state this was a GSP shipment?

GSP for all its faults, its many many faults, has been pretty good about slow and non-delivery disputes, just refunding and letting you keep the item when and if it finally arrives.

Just out of curiosity, @femmefan1946, why do you believe that a courier might avail themselves of Canada Post's Flex Delivery service?
