Im sort of mad at the moment. I bought an item for 9 dollars with 37
dollars of shipping (via USPS). The seller sent the item with DHL and
declared it for 50 dollars, leaving me with a 17.78 tax bill. What do I
do?
Based on your experiences how fast does priority mail arrive? I'm hoping
to get something fast (or at least before Christmas) and I know there's
a holiday rush going on now.
Dipmicro, from what I was told by a couple of the customs agents at
Peason Airport, and by a person on the phone was that the value of the
item is what tax is calculated from, not the shipping cost. If it did
include the shipping I would owe much mor...
Thanks guys for the advice, I'll just let the cancellation expire. I
don't think I've done anything to be labelled a problem buyer (I don't
even remember giving one negative on eBay), so I'll just drop the case
from here. Thanks again.
Sorry for the spelling, don't know how I missed that. I'm wondering if
it was cancelled so they can resell at a higher price. I was getting a
bargin before.
Haha, looks like a spirited discussion happened while I was at work. Let
me flmore out my post more; I was in a rush this morning and more than a
little peeved that I missed out on this item. Now that I've calmed down
a bit, I can say what happened. ...
That's why I'm really glad to live near Pearson.. I declared stuff
myself a couple times without missing work and a 10 minute drive doesn't
kill my day, especially if I'm saving money without losing work hours.
If you can, definately declare it yours...
