Billing currency problem

As suggested by other members here, with the upcoming change in listing currency, I changed my billing currency for CAD $. However, I cannot add an American Express Air Miles card to pay for my fees. It says "Visa or Mastercard" only. Why is that? Does anyone know?

Many merchants do not accept American Express because they generally charge higher fees than Visa or MasterCard.

Bank of Montreal MasterCard offers Air Miles.  I have been using it for over twenty years,

But my US billing account is paid with my Amex. So why is it not accepted for my CAD billing? It makes no sense...

I guess I'll have to use PayPal as my automatic payment and choose my Amex as the default card on PayPal.

If it is not cancelled again, I'll bring up the issue at the board hour tomorrow.
