Buyer claims no item received, filed claim, now item not received again.....

Good day all,

I have a weird one for you..

A buyer bought an item from me,  I sent the item out as promised by the listing....

The buyer claims he did not get the item, and files a case...Fine no problem...

So after discussions, I sent out another item, to resolve the issue...posted pictures on the site

that clearly shows addresses, and post mark...

So now the buyer states he did not get the second item...

I escalated the claim for eBay to look at,..

So.. because i live in Canada, we do not get tracking numbers from the post office, and the buyer did not buy a tracking number.

So how do I handle this one?..  Any help would be great.

J

Re: Buyer claims no item received, filed claim, now escalates to case

Thanks for the replies.

What is a "super defect"? Does it cost me more in fees? That's the only thing I'm worried about! LOL!

I'm a honest + kind seller so I have no worries on that front!

It's all a bit sad because the buyer's feedback shows that he doesn't "receive" quite a few items - either he lives in a bad area where parcels are stolen a lot - if so, he should specify this-  or alternatively he does this to scam people.. He's likely a scammer and does this periodically when he knows there is no tracking on an item.

So he wins, I lose....LOL! What can you do - I guess it's the cost of doing business on ebay!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

READ THIS:

So true...

In the case I just mentioned, I phoned the Canada Post and they said to make sure the address was correct - I asked the buyer and he NEVER responded - apparently that's a modus operandi for scammers - say nothing, answer no questions!

🙂

That bar code you spoke of for small packet air has a number.  It is attached to the customs form.  You can call Canada Post to check that number and they can tell you where that item was last in the system.  It will also tell them what was in the parcel.

The barcode is not a tracking number on Small Packet Air International .

It is only used for Canada Post's bookkeeping.

https://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/far/business/findARate?execution=e2s3

Tracking starts on -- huh-- oddly "Tracked Packet International".

Even there what you get is Confirmation of Delivery. And $100 insurance.
