How to request feedback revision

How to request feedback revision....I can't find how to do it.

A buyer left positive comments with almost certainly accidental negative feedback.

Just to play devils advocate, ie it is also possible it is an intentional negative with accidental positive wording. (Check the buyers regular feedback left if it is always the same the chances are higher this would be the case) 

Before you process the feedback revision request, I would suggest sending an ebay message* mentioning that you've noticed the hopefully accidental feedback (I would also ask if everything was ok with the stamps) and asking them if they are ok to revise it to a positive, and if they are, you'll send along the feeback revision request for them to do that.

Unfortunately the response is in French so I personally would avoid calling them because I am only very mildly conversant in French so that would probably not go well if they are equally conversant in English.

Hopefully it was a simple mistake and all will soon be well......

* I would send the message in French first then the same English version afterward. (Google translate is my best friend in these situations)

Isn't feedback that contradicts itself one of the automatic-removals you can ask to be done by the Feedback Specialists at ebay Customer Service? Or did they do-away with that? It used to be....

I think this qualifies for that automatic removal, does it not? Or have I misinterpreted some aspect of the policy.

It was an error...I have since received a message from him saying it was a mistake. I'll send the revision request. It's not a big deal but should be dealt with.

I'm 99.9% sure that if one called it in the CSR would just zapp it.....

I only added my comments above because once you send the feedback revision request it is sent, and it might not be good for it to be a surprise to the buyer. I think it is better to talk to the person beforehand to make sure all is well. As far as I can remember all the times this has happened to me it was a mistake and the buyer promptly fixed it when I sent the revision request after talking to them, although I do seem to remember a CSR zapping one for me onetime too*.

*Keep in mind despite being only medium old, I do well most days to remember what I had for breakfast by lunchtime.....

Yeah, about that. I've been in this position and it's all fine for the buyer to tell you he made a mistake but you may wait in vain for them to ever do that Revision. 

I'd have gone straight to Customer Service.

The other thing is that a seller is allowed only five Feedback Revision Requests per 1000 feedbacks received per year so you may have wasted one of a precious number of requests available to you. https://www.ebay.ca/pages/help/feedback/revision-request.html 

You can submit 5 Feedback revision requests for every 1,000 Feedback you've received in the past 12 consecutive months

It has been revised. 

It was not a big deal to me or worth the time and effort to call customer support. I have had over 4400 feedbacks and lots more of no-feedback left transactions and only requested a change once before so have no worry about running out of requests.

Also my enthusiasm for listing here has waned since the great picture loss fiasco with only insulting compensation offered and the eventual demise of turbolister coming.
