Could this be a scam?????

So seller claims to have taken the item to the post office 4 days ago, but Canada Post is staying at "

Electronic information submitted by shipper"

Could this just be that they didn't scan the package at the post office, or is he just playing me?

I had this happen to me once when selling, that nobody scanned it at the post office, and then it ended up being scanned a day later at a CPC facility

Hello,

This has happened to me a few times but everything has worked out fine both as a buyer and seller.

I'm wondering if maybe they are using Canada Post via Chit Chat?  When you input the tracking # into the Canada Post website do you see the drop down for delivery details?  I have one right now that show's no  movement despite it being shipped on August 25th from a reputable seller however when I click on delivery details I can see the chit chat reference number which I then used to track my parcel through their site.

Stay positive my friend.  All will be well.

Happens all the time receiving post office doesn’t scan item shows up. If it’s small enough could also be dropped in mailbox. Wait till estimated delivery date then go from there.

Wrong question.

Tracking is a Seller Protection against unwarranted claims that the purchase was no received.

You are the buyer and tracking does nothing for you but irritate your ulcer.

Stop looking at tracking.

EBay gave you a window for arrival.

Mark the last date of that window on your calendar.

If the shipment has not arrived by then, you can open a Not Received Dispute in the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page.

If the seller cannot prove delivery (not shipping, Delivery), you will automatically be refunded.

Sometimes the scanner at Post Office cannot read the bar code printed by your printer

In this case you will have skipped scans during the shipping process

I have had this happen to me a few times

Make sure your printer is up to par and is printing valid bar codes

This is one possibility but there may be others

If you check tracking through Ebay, it often lags.   Suggest checking the number directly on the Canada Post site for more real time info.
