I bought something on eBay today for the 1st time. I was told a follow up email confirmation would be sent .
You took my money and didn't send the email !
What is this ?

The confirmation usually follows when your seller has purchased the tracked shipping label.

You are send confirmation that your purchase has been shipped and the tracking number.

Mark the last estimated date for delivery on your calendar.

Don't bother watching tracking. It's mostly used as a Seller Protection. The postal system (and other carriers) are good at their job and however the parcel may appear to wander, it will arrive, possibly even earlier than you expect.

EBay does not inundate the buyer with constant updates.
