Item was delivered to a processing facility mailroom?

I live in Vancouver BC and the package was shipped from Vancouver BC. I do know that the mail has to go to Richmond (a part of Vancouver) to be processed/sorted. The seller wrote the correct address and postal code.

But what I am confused about is the "delivered to mailroom", and "signature unavailable; receiver refused to sign". I googled and found that V7B 0B1 is the postal code of a processing facility in Richmond.

But what's with this mailroom and signature stuff? I live on the opposite end of the city so this isn't where it's supposed to go. On top of that, the package on Canada Post and eBay is now marked as delivered. I never received this item.

So what gives??? Anyone have an idea?

Call the toll free Canadapost number and select tracing option. At that point you should be able to speak to an operator to confirm what happened. Link attached.

Keep in mind that tracking does nothing for the buyer. It is a Seller Protection against false claims that the purchase was not delivered.

Watching tracking will make you crazy. Not only are there human errors like fat fingered slips choosing the wrong codes, but hub and spoke distribution systems defy common sense while working much better than you'd think.

Did you notice that the "mailroom" and the "refused signature" apparently happened at the same moment? Fat fingers.

What date did eBay give you for delivery?

Has that date passed?

No?  Relax, it's not only in Canada, it's in the Lower Mainland and on it's way to you.

Yes? If Canada Post can't help you, and they should be able to. go to the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page and open an Item Not Received Dispute.

But it will probably be in your mailbox tomorrow.
