Item arrived, missing a part. When I sign in there is no record of it in my purchase history. But on the email receipt my username is different the the usual one, when I try and sign in the password won't work no matter how many times I reset it amd use it immediately. It's llike there's a glitch.
Make sure you are actually signing in to the correct eBay account using that other username, and resetting or using the password for that account.
Try using another browser if your browser is preventing you from entering the credentials of the other account.
If you purchased as a guest, you must first sign out of your current eBay account before using the order details link in the email that eBay sent regarding the guest purchase.
Give it 24 hours in case it is just a glitch.
You have 30 days from delivery for a Claim (Not As Described) under the Money Back Guarantee.
Was the item held up by the postal strike? Is there any damage to the parcel itself?
How did you pay for the item?
In addition to the MBG, which is your first and fastest way to a refund, you are covered for up to 180 days from payment by the credit card you actually paid with.
With the MBG, the seller is required to send you return shipping.
If they are not in Canada they can do this through a service like Shippo or pirateship, or ask eBay for help.
They are not required to refund until they have the item back.
BTW- you want a cash refund NOT a replacement NOR the missing part. EBay has a Money Back Guarantee.
