Does anyone else have an issue with items for sale from China, especially antiques. I am very doubtful as to the authenticity. ie fakes.

Assume it is a fake. Don't pay more than you would for a "replica".

Once you have the item, you can have it expertized by a trusted Canadian dealer and get appropriate certificates if you want them.

You will pay for expertization/appraisal, but both your insurance company and your heirs will appreciate the certs.
