The item always shows the price with the currency of the country the listing was posted from/coming from, in this case Australia but it also will show right under the AU price "Approximately C$......." to show the Canadian amount.

Remember that when you import goods, including from the USA, that the difference in currencies changes constantly, and that the rate you see advertised is the mid-market rate for that day.

Most banks will stick with their advertised rate for that day, but it could change tomorrow.

If you see a price in Australian dollars, from an Australian seller, posting to the Australian site, the price is accurate.

The price in Canadian dollars is approximate and may be higher or lower than the approximation you see today.

So that you understand that the item you are looking at is shipping from another country and listed in another currency...

Why?

Because Buyers do not read and after purchasing the item still do not realize why they are charged a different amount or that the item is coming from another country and will take longer than they thought to arrive...

They want it yesterday, or at least by tomorrow...

This way by having the listing currency show up first when items are listed in other currencies with the approximate amount in Canadian dollars below you can make a better-informed decision about purchasing the item and the shipping times involved & most importantly where it is shipping from. Australia, China, or Timbuktu.
