With our own philatelic auction business we have been shipping by Canada Post and Purolator for about 30 years and losses are vanishingly rare.

On eBay we get not recieved claims fairly often, a couple of times a year.

The problem is NOT with the postal system.

And just because I like to nag, this is something you should think about before you list. Your buyer is paying for the shipping. Honest buyers are anxious to have tracking and insurance, even though it actually protects only you, the seller.

Hmm. There is a company that does one off insuring of parcels. They are called shipinsure. They get good reviews here from posters who have used them.

If they do not insure to the country your buyer is in, absolutely use a tracked and insured service.

where are you sending to?i have never had any trouble with small packet air to u.s.,there is also tracked packet .canada has tracking on all packages.
