Why am I blocked from bidding on items because my account is based with a "Canadian address", from sellers who states will only ship within the USA, no international shipping?
I would have like to bid on the items & then, easily request the item to be ship it to my American friend who lives the USA.
This will meet the terms of the seller, since I am a eBay member, using Paypal & shipping within the States.
Why am I block from these bids?
Hi .. Doesn't meet seller's terms because your PayPal payment will have a canadian address and that is the one PP instructs seller to ship to or breach PP Seller Protection. Neither can a US address be added to your canadian PayPal account.
Can ask seller if they would consider a US address and add your ID to their exempt list. Not likely for a new member with no buying history.
Send your friend funds through PP and have them purchase for you.
You can also try and contact seller to see if they would consider shipping
to Canada. Some US sellers may say yes, while others may make it clear
that NO means no. I've had both. The main obstacle for the US seller that
does not advertise shipping to Canada is calculating the postage/shipping
as they cannot do it "automaticaly". After the auction, if you win, the seller
will have to take the package to the post office to get the rate. If they do
then you will be "commited" to pay whatever they charge you. No backing
out of it.
