Is a standard shipping from US to Qc is supposed to be that long?

I ordered a Dash kit from the Us and have been provided a tracking number but it's been already 3 weeks! (june 11) is it normally that long ?

The traking says that it is being processed at the sort facility in Miami since june 21.

Thank you very much for your help.

In case you are not aware of it, the USPS has shut down or will shut down some processing centers. This will cause slower delivery times. I don't know if that is the case with your item but for all those who have purchased from the US in the past and are noticing longer shipping times, the processing center and post office closures could be the reason.

Hello 'xxdo1xx',

Those tracking numbers they provide us are rarely ever 'real' tracking numbers.  I've had them come with Priority, but you paid for USPS First Class.  A real tracking number will work here when the item crosses the border:

http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/track/personal/findByTrackNumber?execution=e1s1

So it's on its way now, but as you have 45 days from when you paid, and it was still in the US on the 21st, there's no way it would be here yet.  I just received an item delivered the same way, last noted in the sort facility on the 14th.  It got here yesterday.  So give it some time.  But if you wish to familiarize yourself with how to proceed with an Item Not Received claim should ever that become necessary in future, see the following link:

BTW,the time taken for an echeque to clear is part of the 45 day time limit for opening an item not received dispute, leaving less time for the actual delivery to take place. If the item doesn't arrive, open the dispute no later than day 43,to be safe.

PS.. Purchased on the 9th June. Sort Miami June 21. Did you pay with an echeque which take 8-10 days to clear. Sellers do not ship prior to receiving cleared payment. If so , hasn't been 3 weeks.

3 weeks is not unusual. Delivery confirmation is not really tracking. Next entry will probably be delivered, after you have received. If Customs pulls , taxes and a Canada Post fee of $8.50 will be due on delivery.

For items not received..claims must be filed within 45 days of payment..

Never let deadline pass.

Any item coming to you from another country has to go through customs. As for your dash kit (I'm assuming you mean for a car?), this could be the issue. As long as the proper customs forms have been filled out, it shouldn't be stuck in there for too long.

Also, do you know what shipping method the seller used? Some of the cheaper options can take up to a month to arrive...

If you are still worried, you can always directly call USPS and ask them what the status of the shipment is. Sometimes they are able to give you more information over the phone rather than on the website.
