Is there a good way to remove duct tape from a box?

So its my first time selling on eBay and shipping an item and i just learned that you can't use duct tape after covering the box with duct tape and after paying for the shipping label, so i wanted to know if there was anyway to remove the duct tape without damaging the box or leaving sticky residue, is there any way ? I thought of emptying the box and then put the box in the freezer to make the duct tape unstuck or just easier to remove from the box because i learned that duct tape doesn't really stick in the cold and am not too sure of my idea is a good one.

I'd really like to find a way to do this without having to void the label, also the box used is a shoe box so i need to re-use this box to make sure its the same size as when i created the label.

Thank you in advance for tacking your time to help me.

Because?

You can use duct tape to seal the box. Canada Post has no problem with that.

It is more questionable to attach the label with duct tape, but as long as the print on the label is not covered, there is no technical problem.

Of course the postal clerk may have had a fight with his wife this morning or got a bad burger at MickeyD's at lunchtime and just be feeling grouchy.

I'd try a different postal outlet before trying to remove the duct tape.

I tried to send items in a liquor box once because they are so sturdy but that is not allowed.  So I just covered the whole box with brown paper like from old paper bags or the underside of wrapping paper.  If you don't have a new box & have to reuse this box try putting brown paper all around the box to cover the duct tape & then put on the shipping label. You should have no problem.

good luck with that, i see you needing a new box real soon..duct tape will destroy the box. you can try the freezer thing, as you have nothing to lose now.  let us know how you make out.
