Hi, the seller said would ship within one day, but did not send tracking number until 4 days. The seller sent a DHL tracking number (DHL tracking is 10 numbers) but claimed the carrier was EMS (EMS has 2 letters at the biginning and the end of tracking) . Tracked on DHL and there it was, only shipping info received as of 6 days the phone has not been sent. What do you do with this type of seller that provides fake tracking info?
Hi, Sometimes EMS uses another couriers to deliver. In Latvia f.e. sometimes im getting EMS in TNT 🙂 And yes - these numbers can be tracked in these parcels and sometimes they give reasonable info.
What to do - please ask shipper to double check EMS number and then probably he will send right one 🙂
How is it fake?
EMS is a faster version of normal mail, while DHL is a courier. DHL would get you the item quicker. Don't see how that comes across as fake
Is it tracking or is it Delivery Confirmation?
The former records the movement of the parcel every step of the way. The latter only reliably records delivery of the item, after the buyer has it.
Delivery Confirmation is all Paypal requires to refuse an Item Not Received dispute.
If the item is coming from Europe on Day 15 ask the seller for information about shipping service and date of shipping. If if is coming from North America, do this on Day 20. If it is coming from Asia, do this on Day 30.
In any case, if the answer is not helpful, or if it is Day 40, file the Item Not Recieved Dispute and get a refund. Do not close the Dispute until you have your money back.
