Congratulations USA Sellers and eBay:

Your Global Shipping Program has insured that a good % of buyers from Canada

will no longer consider USA sellers who use the Global Shipping Program.

The whole idea of eBay was to provide a public forum for buyers around the world

to purchase items at a reduced cost.

Global shipping has all but taken the savings away.

I recently purchased a piece of electronics for $35.00+ $8.50 shipping.

By the time i reached checkout my cost had escalated to just under $80.00.

I was forced to use priority shipping instead of small

packet and was assessed a duty for customs.

In my 6 years  dealing with USA buyers paying a duty has happened only once.

This is just my opinion but other than greed,  why are you assessing final value fees on shipping

or better still getting involved in shipping at all?

Are you having a problem with an item that is not recieved?

The number is not useful to you. Ignore it.

Ask the seller for the date and service used for shipping.

If he is less than helpful, start an "Item Not Recieved" dispute.

Most items from the USA arrive within 20 days after cleared payment. Did you pay for your item more than 20 days ago? Start the Dispute.

You have up to 45 days to start a Dispute.

You have 60 days to leave feedback.

We are now in the Christmas "slow mail" period. While patience is needed, do not let that 45 days from cleared payment pass. File no later than 40 days after payment.

this is a number for their (ebays) stupid global shipping program where they rip off both the buyer AND seller to try and bleed them of as much money as possible........maybe if people stopped buying from sellers that use this ebay will drop it again
