Do I have to use Paypal on ebay for buying? Are there other options?

I am not a fan of Paypal since being defrauded on the site; I've since deleted my account. I don't like dealing with middle-man sites like that; is there an official ability to simply use a credit card or something similar as a standard, accepted payment option on ebay? If not, I'll have to abandon using ebay for a lot of purchases, which I'd rather not have to do.

Thanks

Be aware that if a transaction goes pear-shaped, Paypal is your first level of appeal. If that doesn't work out, using your credit card to back Paypal allows you to go to the chargeback process of the card.

If you pay by money order or by cash or by personal cheque, you have no Buyer Protection. The money is gone.

Hi freeb.. There really isn't , a minority of sellers have their own merchant account for processing credit cards. If you have a different card than was on your closed account, PP will allow a number of payments by selecting "don't have a PP account" at checkout but at some point, will ask that an account be opened.

Ask seller if will accept a money order with all the delay involved.
