Hi guys, I'm hoping someone has something to say about this... I'm kinda in panic mode!
Last month I sold an item, she paid by 'echeck', I waited the period till it cleared, it cleared, I sent the item and the shipping was actually cheaper then I expected so I sent her a small refund with a little note. She was happy for the refund, anyways she received the item AND left me great positive feedback. So I check my paypal transactions and this transaction says the payment was reversed... I was like woah woah what?!? Paypal cleared the payment and now it's reversed? I contacted the buyer who said she didn't get the payment back into her account, maybe thats correct and maybe shes lying, I don;t know. But how can this happen? I contacted paypal by email since I'm at work right now and can't call but I guess will have to call them tonight to figure this out. Anyone have a similar situation? I'm a fairly new seller and this experience has made me want to stop selling completely. I do rely on this extra money and I have a chunk missing for no reason! Grr X-(
If PP confirms that it was an unauthorized chargeback then will know that buyer is less than honest. PP will not be sympathetic without delivery confirmation.
Once clear , perhaps try sending a request funds through PP.
Lets hope that is the case. I never considered the possibility that perhaps funds were not confirmed missing from balance. Also PP would normally send an email notice of a bank reversal.
Hi, I had couple situation like yours.
No, the buyer didn't reversed the payment. The money is still in your account.
Anytime you do partial refund for echeck, always there is symbol reversed. If you got instant payment, when you refund partially, the symbol is partially refunded.
If you can track how much money you owe on your paypal, you will see that your money not going anywhere.
She said she didn't start a dispute and there is nothing listed in my resolution centre. Blat! What a ridiculous situation, ruined my whole weekend when I saw this on Friday! 😞
Hi Sorry to hear. Did you check resolution center in PP to see if any disputes. Did you ship with delivery confirmation.
If nothing in PP , only way that could happen to my knowledge is if the buyer filed an unauthorized transaction with their bank. Banks will reverse up to 90 days , if i recall.
Call PP toll free @ 1-888-221-1161. Wouldn't be in her PP account if her bank reversed ? PP is simply recovering their money from you.
