In the area that says "not received" there is an amount that shouldn't be there.

A client didn't pay so after I put in a claim and finally after 2 more weeks cancelled the deal.  The amount that was due from that cancelled purchase is still in the "not received" area.  how long does that stay there before it disappears?  Is there something I need to do to make it disappear faster?
